About the role
This is a hands-on role for an engineer who is comfortable moving between architecture, implementation and review. You will work directly with the people commissioning the software, make consequential technical decisions and help other developers do their best work.
What you’ll do
- Turn ambiguous product briefs into clear technical plans and working software.
- Lead full-stack delivery across interfaces, APIs, data and infrastructure.
- Direct and review AI-assisted implementation rather than accepting output at face value.
- Own testing, security, performance and production readiness throughout a build.
- Explain important decisions clearly to clients and the wider delivery team.
Skills we’re looking for
- Strong software design and full-stack engineering fundamentals
- Modern JavaScript or TypeScript and web application architecture
- API, database and integration design
- Automated testing, security and performance engineering
- Production deployment, monitoring and incident diagnosis
- Code review, technical leadership and developer mentoring
- Disciplined use of AI development tools, with every output verified
